Blue Zebra Insurance (BZI) is an innovation and insurance technology (insurtech) focused underwriting agency. BZI offers bespoke insurtech offerings to insurance brokers, using industry leading digital solutions, to ensure brokers can provide many coverage options to their customers.
BZI enables brokers to quote, bind and service personal lines and SME customers electronically. The claims process is also simple and digitally enabled, from obtaining a quote to settling. Major efficiencies are achieved by taking advantage of multiple data partners to better understand a risk. Savvy use of algorithms and third-party data facilitate decision-critical information. BZI also leverages robotic automation to automatically match broker payments, a task that can ordinarily involve a team of about twelve people.
The team also delivers Cyber, Personal Accident and Drone insurance, through an innovative web-based online portal, called the Zebra Lounge. The portal connects brokers directly to quote pages and real time policy information.
One of the company’s major advantages: it is unencumbered by legacy IT systems. The firm launched in 2018 and built its entire insurtech system from scratch – so it is modern and efficient. BZI’s flagship insurance platform, Blue Leopard, provides agencies and insurers with an unrivalled end-to-end policy administration system. Blue Leopard‘s template-driven architecture also drastically reduces product development lifecycles, enabling new products to go from concept to production in weeks. All of BZI’s products are housed under this one platform, with the same front and back end, driving considerable efficiencies.
